Don't get playedAlright, so there was a recent 'happening' in the dA forums concerning a commission offer made by someone with the starting price of $30. The piece they were asking for was supposedly a really highly detailed piece, large resolution, and basically something you'd spend (on the low end of the market) no less than $250.00 on. 
Now, from here on out this may be purely opinion and because my participation in the industry has only been for about 10 years (as in being paid for my work) I may not be the best person to speak on this matter. However, I have to say something, if only to put my own opinions on the matter out there. 
15 years ago I got my first commission. It was a full colour realism portrait for someone of their dog and I offered to do it for $5.00 using traditional media.
They took up the offer and it took me about a week of working on and off to finish their image. At the time I wasn't anywhere near being sure of my skills even though I'd been drawing comprehensively

Shaving Faux fur:
For Faux fur plushie makers, You should invest in a WAHl Kennel Pro, I bought two Andis clippers, both gave out after trimming faux fur for a few min. Also Make sure to keep your Clippers oiled and cleaned after using. 
 I recommend trim the Faux fur first before cutting out the pattern, so if you do cut too deep you can always make a new piece to replace it before sewing your plush together. Make sure to trim with the fur pile not against it, or you will just cut all the fur off, you want to trim it not make it bald.

They were invited to a studio. Their hair and makeup were completely redone.
During the transformation, they were asked to keep their eyes shut.
A photographer then immortalized the moment they opened their eyes.

On the news of WinAmp's death

So I heard from a couple of sources that they are apparently shutting down WinAmp. To me this "news" is nothing but sentimental. Remember that im using a downgraded older version of WinAmp to begin with, because AVS doesn't run properly on the newer versions. Also I've been using the same skin for 9 years now. Counting from the release date, I can't actually remember when I started using it =p but im almost 100% sure it couldn't have been more than a couple of months after it's release.

I guess the only thing I will be missing is posting stupid crap and boobs on the recycle bin when im drunk.

Edit: Well i've been somewhat active on the new Winamp Enthusiasts Forum so if you want to register there use this link and I will get a larger E-penis that way or something :confused:
